Foresta interviews Moore on Breakfree to Success
Today Doug Foresta interviews Thomas Moore on Breakfree to Success, his Blog Talk Radio program, "A Religion Of One's Own: With Thomas Moore". Moore talks about his new book to be published by Gotham Books (Penguin) later this year and about his golf retreat planned for May 12-17 in Killarney, Ireland to which everyone is invited. The interview is approximately 25 minutes.
During the interview Moore distinguishes between an educated person and an informed person by suggesting the former is reflective, complicated and interesting. He refers to ordinary mysticism as a desirable approach to satisfy current religious needs and considers poetry by D. H. Lawrence, Anne Sexton and Pablo Neruda as contributions to sacred literature. He also talks about the religious significance of ordinary activities.
