Living a soulful life in an unsettled world

"We need to live our own deep and creative lives in troubled times
and also do our part to improve society."

Southern Arizona Friends of Jung host Thomas Moore's lecture A Soulful Life in an Unsettled World on Sunday 16 February, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Tucson, Arizona at Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
"Many people are anxious today about the unsettled nature of the world. They can’t sleep and some don’t want to bring children into this world. We need to live our own deep and creative lives in troubled times and also do our part to improve society. One important step for individuals is to be eccentricity and not participate fully in the values and styles of contemporary life, which obviously is moving in an unhealthy direction. We can also adopt a way of life that fosters inner richness and security. A good model is C. G. Jung, who shows how to use images and the methods of magic to live from a deep place. Jung’s way of dealing with the deep and hidden realm, demonstrated in his home, his studies in alchemy, and in the Red Book involve natural magic and guidance from the imaginal realm. He speaks of daimon and anima as guiding figures who help shape our lives around the richness and depth of soul."
