Father is in the sky, on the earth, and in ourselves
We need deep, guiding, sensitive, vulnerable, gentle fathers according to Thomas Moore's column "Men who are Fathers" in the July-August 2012 issue of Spirituality & Health magazine. Moore recounts experiences with his grandfather and father, and fathering his own children:
"I sense these moments of fathering as injections of soul blood into my being, making my life more significant. I feel a kind of giving that enhances me as it flows from such a deep place that my will is hardly engaged."Read his piece and contribute your own reactions and responses to his public Facebook page. Fatherhood is too important to appreciate only on the third Sunday in June.
