Care of the Soul in Medicine, will give a lecture at 7 p.m. Jan. 20 and a workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 21 in Waldemere Auditorium at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Tickets are $25 members, $30 nonmembers for the lecture, $85 and $95 for the workshop. Register at

In this piece Rife writes, "Soon after
Care of the Soul was published, 'People began calling me and writing to me and asking me to come and speak to doctors and nurses and specialists,” said Moore, a psychotherapist and former monk who has written numerous books on spirituality. "The first thing I discovered is a lot of people working in hospitals are confused about how to deal with death, with patients who are dying, and the families of the patients.'" Rife describes recommendations for medical patients in Moore's work.
