The first World Congress of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Andrology, scheduled for Sunday 20 March to Wednesday 23 March, 2011 features Thomas Moore as its Enrichment Lecturer on the final day from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Dr. Clare Willocks, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist introduces Moore, who talks about care of the soul in medicine.

According to its promotional site, "WCOGA 2011 will be of interest to Obstetricians, Gynaecologists, Psychiatrists, Andrologists, Urologists, Oncologists, Paediatricians, General Practitioners, Midwives, Nurses, Psychologists, Counsellors, Physical Therapists and Psychotherapists. We will aim to select topics of interest to both juniors in-training and senior colleagues. The Congress will also be of interest to health providers, health policy makers, clinical scientists, students and retired health professionals, as well as members of the lay public."

The Congress "aims to improve the understanding of the impact of mind-body interactions in initiating, exacerbating and maintaining disease symptoms. This will enable delegates to learn when best to apply a psychosomatic approach in order to save lives and reduce morbidity" as one of its educational objectives. This event occurs at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London, U.K.
