A religion of one's own: the heart of secular life
The Isbourne Holistic Centre hosts Thomas Moore's public talk A Religion of One's Own, Monday 23 April 2012.
Moore writes, "Emerson said that every church has a membership of one. Today we can take that idea more radically and shape our lives around certain spiritual experiences that define us and put us in relation to the greater life and world. We all have such intuitions and inspirations but may not see their importance to our spiritual lives. The way to this religion is through self-therapy, natural mysticism and intuitive response to life. This deeper religion is in no way separate from secular life. In fact, it is the heart and soul of secular existence."
Program: 7.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Tea and book signings: 8.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m.
Early-Bird registration: £10.00 (by 9 April)
Regular registration: £12.50
