Thomas Moore has provided a description of his workshop for the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Capital Region in Albany, N.Y. The session on Saturday, March 25 is open to the public and the public is invited to register for the 20th anniversary dinner planned for March 26 with Thomas Moore as the guest speaker.
"We give attention to our bodies and minds but not much to our souls. The soul has two dimensions: the ordinary life at home, our relationships, work, and emotions; and the spiritual side. This presentation will offer some ideas on how to cultivate a soul-centered life and also how to deepen the spiritual life, making it more sophisticated and more in tune with the needs of the soul. Our challenge is to connect soul and spirit, our ordinary and intimate lives with transcendent vision.
We’ll talk about the soul of marriage, caring for the child’s soul, and developing a spirituality for our times."
The last day to register is St. Patrick's Day, 17 March 2006.
